Add Pause Dates to Reading Journal

My main argument for why I would like this is so that I can go back and update/manipulate pause dates for books that take me a long time but that I repeatedly keep forgetting to “pause”, such as my textbooks. If pause periods showed in the Reading Journal then I could theoretically go in and edit the dates for the pause and make sure it’s reflecting correctly.

If there is an alternate way to do this, I’m all for that as well! I just want the ability to manipulate the dates Storygraph views a book as being “paused” and not counted.

Pause periods do show up in the journal. Are yours not?

Nadia sorry Nadia, mine wasn’t allowing me to edit the dates for the pause periods but I think that was more user-error than Storygraph error. It is working for me now, however, right now the only way to do this is on the book page, hit pause, resume, and then go into the journal and update the dates. This is a little tedious to do each time, especially when I fail to update my reading journal every week for my textbooks. Is it possible to add a button on the reading journal page for a given book to make it easier to add pause periods without having to go to the main book page and it pause/resume, update, pause/resume, update, and then manually change all the dates.

I think people have asked for a similar feature with being able to add updates/notes to a reading journal.

Sorry for the confusion on my part and thank you for the help!

shelfgremlin So when you pause, clicking on the pencil by the pause date doesn't help?

And yes, you'll eventually be able to directly add updates to the journal.
