Draft review while reading

I would like to be able write my review while a am reading the book. The review should off cause be a draft version and not be able to be published before the book is finished (or DNF'ed).

I always have a lot of thoughts and ideas for my review while reading the book, but once I'm done I have forgotten most of the thoughts I had in the beginning (which are the most important for a spoiler free review), and then a couple of days go by and I've read another book in the meantime and I end up writing a really short generic review because I've moved on and are not that invested anymore.

Now I know what you are thinking: Use the reading journal.
I have tried, but is doesn't work for me - I will still have to put all the different entries together which feels like double work, and I mostly forget to even look in the journal.
Maybe the journal would work better if it was easily accessible form the review page, but as it is now it feels very cumbersome to use for this purpose.
I know that there are also people that don't update their progress, so the reading journal is no good for them either.

Yes, I very much want to look at my notes while writing my review!

Thank you for the feedback.

There's been a long-running request to be able to add content warnings while reading, and also to be able to see journal entries while writing a review, so I reckon both of those are related/might help with this request.

Re people who don't do progress entries, they can just keep editing the auto-generated "Started" entry and we will have a way soon for a user to add private notes to a book outside of progress updates.
