I am going through my read books right now adding tags so that my custom charts will be up to date for my end of year reading write-up. Multiple times now, in trying to add tags (on desktop if it matters), I have accidentally deleted a tag instead. I'll have the box open like this, and I don't know exactly how I'm clicking wrong, but a tag will disappear unexpectedly. There's some UI lagginess on my end that may be contributing (I am not sure if this is an actual issue or just my own computer being slow, I did try it on two browsers with the same behavior but it could just be a problem with my wifi or something) but once the tag has disappeared, I have no way of knowing what I accidentally got rid of. I'd love for there to be a way for me to look at an edit history to recover these tags because for some of them like "rec-from-XXXX" there isn't a way for me to recover that info if I lose it.
jaina8851 Are you saying you're only noticing a tag has disappeared after you're hitting 'Update'?
Nadia Yeah that's mostly when I noticed it, though there was at least one time that I realized at least one tag had disappeared while the box was still open, I didn't know what it was, and I couldn't figure out a way to close the box and revert the changes. If the latter is possible, I couldn't figure it out. Maybe a "Cancel" button in addition to "Update"?
I did figure out one way that the tags were disappearing though, I sent in a separate email to support about this because I wanted to include a video. The dropdown itself with the list of tags was so laggy for me that what was happening occasionally was that I would click a tag, scroll down in the dropdown, and then click on a second tag, but the old tag would still be highlighted out of view. So it would deselect the tag I had just added. I'm not sure if this is the same culprit that I was seeing yesterday, since the tags that were disappearing yesterday were definitely existing ones that had been on there for a while.
