DNF books sometimes double-counting pages

I DNFed a book today, and doing so double-counted the number of pages I had read. That is, I had read 116 pages and upon DNFing, the system counted my having read those 116 pages again for a total of 232 pages. This is visible across the journal entries for the book (see attached) as well as the monthly stats page and the yearly pages goal. Chatting with other users, a couple of others confirmed having recently encountered the same issue.

I DNF'd 2 books today and both double counted pages. both were previously paused and today I resumed one, read ~20 pages, then DNF'd. the other I went straight from Paused to DNF. and both did it. (unsure if that's the case for anyone else but I thought I'd mention everything I could think of) I cannot remember if I had manual edits before (not today at least, but I often have to change dates on my page addings, but I don't usually change any page values after creation of that entry.
Hmmm, I'm struggling to recreate this issue. Do you have any more details around if the editions changed or if there was any manual editing of journal entires prior to marking as DNF?
For now do you know how to edit the journal entries to at least remove the double counted pages?
Nadia I've no clue how to reproduce it either, I'm afraid. I've DNFed 4 books this month, and this is the only one where I've had this issue. Of the people I was talking to, one of them mentioned it happening to them on May 15 and the other said it happened "a couple of weeks ago".
https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/313c5103-457f-4551-a085-fce007a66647 is the book that it happened to me on. I hadn't made any manual changes to journal entries for the book, hadn't changed editions, hadn't done anything I can think of that was unusual or different to what I usually do. I also checked the edit log for the book (I'm a librarian) and there aren't any recent edits either.
None of which is very helpful, I know. I will keep an eye out for it happening in future in the hope that some sort of pattern might emerge.
And yes, I'm comfortable editing my journal entries to fix my own stats. I haven't done so yet, just in case having the smoking gun in place would help with diagnosis, but there's no worries on that front.
rainbowrachel Nadia (I’m the “a couple of weeks ago” user) I tried to reproduce the bug too but I’ve been unsuccessful so far, and I can also report nothing unusual with the book the bug happened to (https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/86806d4a-3ded-422e-9f93-a07c710a5408), sorry I can’t be of any help either! (I edited the values myself once caught dw)
clod rainbowrachel Okay, thank you both. I will keep an eye on it and let me know if you find anything reproducible. Sorry it's happening!
Nadia maybe not what you were hoping to see but I think I found someone else on the TSG reddit encountering the same bug
clod Thank you!
