On the non-personalised similar books page, I often have the same book come up several (3-4) times in a row.

Experiencing a similar duplication issue under books marked as owned. Shows 709 but if you change the sort from default it updates to 705. The same three book titles and edition are the duplicates every time. Selecting the carrots for edition and tags causes expansion or collapsing in all duplication versions
kitkatfleming This sounds like a personal issue, not related to this post. In the future, please email us at support@thestorygraph.com with cases like this. However, it looks like what you're seeing is cases of rereads (across different editions), or multiple authors in author sort, etc. This is a strange quirk of sorting and re-sorting the read books list: if just scrolled down in date read, it acts more of a timeline of books finished, than a list of unique book items. I still haven't figured out how/if I'm going to address this.
I've had this happen on my read books as well. Previously the duplicate was showing as the default version of a book, which was marked as read but without rating and after adding that version to "currently reading" and removing, it has switched to the same duplicate of audiobook with rating. My book count was showing 12 books as well, now it's at 11, correct should be 10
