Switch to this edition button missing

For some reason specifically on my audiobook The Measure by Nikki Erlick, the switch to this edition is not presented as an option at all.
I don't know if it is only this particular book it's missing on or if this applies currently to all audiobooks right now, but I have the option to choose that on other books and have been able to do so for audiobooks in the past.

Correction: it seems the reason this option is absent is due to the paperback I wanna switch to labeled as "to read"
Which is strange because I have been able to switch to those before as I have been tackling my owned books all paperback marked as to read
Yet have started the same books as free audiobooks and switched before to the owned, to read paperbacks no issue. So I was very surprised and frustrated to come across this issue first time.
cerulean_angel It's never been possible to switch to an edition that already has a another read status on it.
(People have remarked on it/requested it before, but it's never been possible.)
Nadia ah then perhaps the bug was me being able to in the past lol I thought that was the default setup this whole time and then boom it stopped. Sad
cerulean_angel We might be able to support it somehow in the future. We'll see.
