Nadia My phone was in dark mode because I have a setting that switches it into dark mode from 8 pm to 7 am. I took the screenshot before 7 am. All my apps are set to follow the mode my phone system is in. I don’t remember having issues with white menu bars in otherwise dark apps during the dark mode times.

I don’t remember force quitting Storygraph but I remember another time after the screenshot where I tested manually changing the Dark Mode to Light then back into Dark Mode and then the menu bar was as dark as the rest. I don’t usually change the setting manually.

popcornparadise Okay, that's how my phone is. Toggles between the two and certain times. So is StoryGraph in 'Dark' or 'System' mode? And can you please force quit and report back next time this happens? Thank you.

Nadia So, I had a variant of the original bug today (20 min after the automatic switch to dark mode): a dark bottom menu bar with the rest of the app still in light mode. I think the app was open in the background as the change to dark mode occurred. I forced quit and when I reopened it, the dark mode was working fine.

I also noted in the last days an occurrence on another iOS device where I got a white top menu bar in an otherwise dark page in another app. If that also helps.

Nadia As I got the same issue again today also 20 minutes after the switch to dark mode, I looked at my other iOS devices and on both of these, Storygraph was opened in the background and the app remained for quite some time in Light Mode until 1) on the first device I forced quit and then it worked and 2) on the other device, I let the App open, the device went into stand-by and when I unlocked it again, the Storygraph had changed to Dark Mode. In case that helps too.
