Backup/Storygraph Import

I do not know what to call this but I want to be able to import a Storygraph backup file the same way you can do with Goodreads backup files.
I periodically save backups of all of my stuff and, if I were to ever lose access to my account, I could not imagine re-entering all of these books by hand. I am begging you to please make it an option for us to import from a Storygraph file backup.

Hey! This may work for you: ask an AI like GPT to reformat your storygraph export exactly like a goodreads export, and save that file in the format of a goodreads export (like csv). Then you can import it as if it were a goodreads import.
It's not pretty, but it could be a solid workaround.
Do you mean be able to import a file you've previously exported from StoryGraph? If so we're definitely going to have that. I just haven't needed to prioritise it yet but it will happen.
Nadia That's exactly what I mean! I was locked out of a prior email a few months ago and almost lost access to my Storygraph account. All I could think about was having to re-enter over 1,000 books by hand and not remembering my exact reading dates. I keep backups and could go sorting through the files to find it, but an import from a Storygraph backup/export file would be so much more convenient.
shelfgremlin I hear you!
