It would be great to be able have reading challenge wrap ups, graphics with which books you read for which prompts, and when you read it (like which month you finished or something)!

Currently when removing something from owned list, it just makes it like it was never on the list.
I think it would be good to have an option to have it on a got-rid-of list(or a nicer term for it).

That means you can keep track and not accidently rebuy books you have already decluttered and your friends wont got go thought you would like this book and you dont one to here is it as a gift (when the reason you dont own it anymore is you got rid of it)

I have just added all my books to my owned list, but I found I had duplicated some (note sure how). Having a warning when adding a book with something like
'you already have another edition of this book marked as owned would you like to -cancel adding this edition, -replace the edition on your list for this one or -add this edition anyway.'
With each hyphen being a button. This could help prevent accidental re-adds while still allowing it to happen (i have multiple copies of the same book, so I know some people will need that)

Sometimes I edit my reviews and the last edited date is changed. I would love it if we could sort the reviews we wrote (or on someone else's profile) by read date.

I don't really like just rating my books, mainly because even if I love two books, i can't give them both 5, or 4 stars, they need relationship to each other at the 5 or 4 star mark, but decimal point a are garbage as you may have hundreds of 4 star books. This is wher I think a tier list supported rating system would be interesting, allow users to create a tier list of their books, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, DNF; this would also create a very interesting system for recommendations. For example, my 5 star books could make a hash, all similar hashes that fall in the same bucket within a expected range, probably have a book that i would be interested in.

I love the suggestions page for deciding on my next book, but at times I will have put in my TBR a book that hasn't been published yet. I would like the suggestions to not include these since it is impossible for me to read them next.

If I listen to an audiobook with Libby, it would be great if it could automatically sync with The StoryGraph (basically, same as with Kobo, but for Libby audiobooks)!

A suggestion for some data clean up. Check all edition in family for missing or multiple series. I have found a lot of these so seems like an easy way to fix data that could run in off hours.

Tier lists are popular lately would be cool to turn a tag into a tier list.

I'd like to request a third theme option. Would it be possible to get a light theme with a light tan/cream/sepia type of background to replace the white?

Goodreads has this option and it would be extremely useful to have here as well. The spoiler tags only work on a single paragraph and adding multiple spoiler tags in a single review is inconvenient.

I would like to be able to see genres & tags by star rating. Ultimately, I'm looking for a quick way to see my top-rated reads by genre. The Ratings per Book Type comes close but doesn't quite get me there.

Rating labels on the monthly wrap-up summary graphic often obscure the author and the title of the book. It would be nice to have an option to generate this graphic without the ratings, just like there is a separate "cover collage" and a "ratings collage".

I would love the ability to first create tags, for instance on the "your-tags" page and then later assign them to the books. Right now, I need to go to a specific book to create a new tag, to me it would make sense to also allow tag creation on the "main" tag space, so to say. So I can easily see which tags I already have and directly add new ones.

I'm using Habits First as a screen blocking app to motivate me to read, exercise, etc. The app can use data reported from an Apple shortcut and I'd love if Storygraph could report my pages read to a shortcut so I can use reading as motivation to unlock my phone more effectively.

This would be immensely helpful for other screen blocking apps with similar features as well! And unlock a lot of cool data-forward shortcuts for reading that everybody could use. I would be okay with this as a Plus only feature if necessary!

I don't want every review I post and every book I start, finish and dnf to show up on the community feed. It'd be great to have a setting where they are visible if a friend looks at your profile, but don't pop up on the community tab itself. Maybe smth similar to the checkbox goodreads has to add the review to updates before posting.

It would be great if book club admins could tag their members (as in a general @members/@everyone) in the forums.

I'd love to see a way to combine tags with book format in the Stats section.

What I'm hoping for: the ability to filter or break down my read books by tag and format (hardcover, paperback, ebook, audiobook, etc.) at the same time.

Example use case: I use a "library" tag for books I borrow from my library. I'd like to see how many of those library books I read as paperbacks, ebooks, audiobooks, and so on. Right now I can see format stats and I can see tagged books, but I can't see the two together.

Why it would help: it would show how readers actually use their libraries. For example, whether someone borrows mostly ebooks and audiobooks through Libby (the library's free borrowing app) or checks out print copies. It would work for any custom tag too, such as "gifted," "bought secondhand," or "review copy."

I know one thing y'all want is a way to filter/list/see all of your private books in one place.

One of my reading challenges (”Reading Around Ireland”) has 32 prompt entries. Another scofi one is 50+ entries. I’d love to filter to just the remaining to-read entries to help me choose my next up reads.

When I search a book/author, I’d like to see a preferential list of results the shows me the matches for books /author I already have in my library.

Example: if I have a book on to-read list already and search for a title match, show me that match first. For books with multiple matches, this saves a lot of time.

i really appreciate storygraph's extensive content warning system, but the "graphic / moderate / minor" scale needs a little more nuance. right now, a "minor" warning for something heavy like sexual assault or pedophilia is a bit too vague. is it a fleeting, one-sentence mention in a backstory, or a prevalent theme that just isn't shown graphically on the page? adding descriptive tags like "briefly mentioned," "off-page," or "thematic" would give readers the exact context they need to safely navigate their triggers.

When removing books from your to-read list, the app asks if you want to remove all your tags. In that pop-up, would it be possible to also include “remove from all reading challenges”? It’s tedious to have to individually remove a book from a bunch of separate reading challenges (especially if they’re from past years or numbered challenges) once you've decided you no longer want to read it at all.
