Progress doesn’t upgrade in iOS app

When tracking my progress in a book on the Home page in the iOS app, the progress simply doesn’t upgrade. I have to refresh the page and only then does it go through.

I find that I will update the amount of pages read and it doesn’t accept this. I have to force close the app and it accepts my update on the first try.

Hello. It sounds like you're running up against a common problem where when you open the app after a while, it doesn't load properly (there's often a spinny circle in the middle of the page — do you see that?) and so progress entered doesn't save. If you see the spinny circle, pull down to refresh before saving your progress. Do you see the spinny circle though? It's faint! And you shouldn't see it all of the time. Let me know!

So you’re right in that I need to pull down to refresh before saving my progress. But it doesn’t just happen if I open the app after a while. It also happens if I open the app multiple times a day. I also don’t recall seeing a spinny circle but will keep an eye out for it and let you know in case I do.

saoirse_edits Hi! Yes, I know that you were already pulling to refresh, but I wanted to explain why that was the fix — essentially, the page hasn't loaded fully and is struggling to. Sometimes I see it once or twice a day, but other times not for days! It's a really tricky bug that we haven't been able to track down. I thought I'd deployed a fix in the most recent app version, but evidently not. Assuming that you're even talking about the same thing!
Please do let me know if you ever see the spinny circle and also please confirm that it doesn't happen every single time you track progress. Thank you and sorry that this is happening!
