My To-Read Pile only shows 10 books at a time, no matter how I sort it. The circle of dots to show it's loading doesn't appear.
I can all of see my friends' TBR (they will load).

App for Android. With my preferred larger font size the grid gets misaligned when "Complete (DNF)" is broken into two lines. Works with smaller fonts where the entire "Complete (DNF)" fits.
In book-specific reading challenges, formatting for links, bullet/number lists, and quotes aren't displaying properly in the book notes/info/š box.
Tricky to explain, but the Up Next list order is messed up.
When I add a new book, it gets added in the second to last spot but has only the up arrow so you can't move it down to the last spot.
I first noticed this on desktop, then tried it on mobile and did not experience the same issue. However, on subsequent attempts on mobile, I did start experiencing the issue. Search sometimes requires you to add a trailing slash when you begin adding words to it in order to have it refresh the results, which is confusing as at first it seems like your search did not work.
Here's an example video I took on mobile showing it working correctly: Video link
And the desktop video showing the trailing slash bug: Video link
I'm attaching screenshots of when I experienced the bug on mobile in another attempt. I also sporadically get a random set of search results unrelated to the first word and that don't appear on desktop (and vice versa with desktop on mobile). I'm not really sure what causes this.
Steps to recreate
So we're trying to find Victim by Andrew Boryga.
We put some important links to StoryGraph sites (forums of the club) on our book club's "about" page and when I created the page they worked, but now they all lead to a "content missing" page.
I suspect it started with the update that changed the navigation.

Recently added some new editions for a couple books. When choosing genre I could pick from the list but when saving the completed entry the chosen genres aren't saved. The 1st time I thought it was my mistake but it happened twice after that. With those two I double checked the genre box that the entries were there before saving. Tapped save and they'd vanished.
Android version 9
Hi,
When I've added books to a challenge and then leave the challenge, the book detail page still shows me that I've added it to said challenge.
To remove the book, I have to rejoin the challenge, remove all the books I've added and then leave the challenge again.
I want to add an edition to a book manually as it canāt be imported by ISBN. When I try and do this on the mobile app and click on āchoose fileā for the cover I can select the image I want but once I have chosen it I am sent to the top of the āadd an editionā form and when I scroll down no image has been selected.
I'm see an internal server error for all books that I've tried to get a personalised AI summary for. It was working yesterday (26 Jan in Australia) so I assume something has changed overnight.
I donāt know if this is a bug with the newest version or if this was on purpose, But can you please separate the two read section and recommendations section in separate containers or at least have a dividing Line. The books in both sections tends to blur together since theyāre in the same container.
Since the latest Android update (1.20) the back button doesn't always work. For example: tap through from the home page to stats then books read then to an individual book's page and then tap the back button will take me back to the stats page but not to the home page. Previously the back button would work just like a web browser back button and go back to the previous "page". Now sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

In Book club forums, when clicking on "Reply" under a comment multiple times, it opens up multiple text boxes, and only one of them (picked at random) can be dismissed by clicking the "Cancel" button.
So.. I sometimes finish multiple books a day, and what happens in the calendar view is that I either only see a teeny tiny line of the second book, or 1/3rd of it if the other one has a square cover. (Example attached). I totally understand that you couldnāt fit 10 books in a squareā¦ but two might be niceā¦ or some other solution where they are not awkwardly layered on top of each other?
Iām getting the number only keyboard when I try to update progress on audiobooks from the current reads page by clicking directly on the %age button . Because no colon is available, I then get an error when I try to input numbers only. I have to click on the title of the book instead and then update from there as the full keyboard is then available. (iOS app)
On the non-personalised similar books page, I often have the same book come up several (3-4) times in a row.
On the Android mobile app (not logged in), the margins around the homepage vanished today-ish, so the content is all pressing against the sides. See attachment.
Edited title as it's on the not logged in mobile view everywhere it seems. [Nadia, 22nd Jan 2025]
Whenever I pull down a page on the Android app, the circular loading indicator at the top gets stuck. If I do this on my profile page, it only affects that page and anything directly connected to it (to-read pile, tags, owned books...) The homepage, stats etc. are only affected if I reload each of them individually.
Restarting the app solves the issue until I (often accidentally) reload a page again.
I also struggle with pages freezing and the menu bar at the bottom being unresponsive when I try to switch between sections. Sometimes the app gets stuck completely.

(Sorry if this sounds confusing. Chronic pain and fatigue make it hard to find the proper words in a language that isn't my own. š„“)
If I share my owned book list with someone else they get a warning and don't see my list. My account's settings are public.
It's probably just a visual thing but when the app is opened fresh the icons move up and down to align with each other. Once they are aligned and the app isn't closed everything is normal.
The āMost read authorsā stat has a bug that is replicated across multiple users,
Iāve made all my friends switch to Storygraph and we were checking and comparing stats and have observed that some authors show as having read 2 books, when the reality is that only one book from that author was read,
The flow:
Reading Stats-> Read books -> Most Read Authors
Letās say SJM is there with 2 books -> click on the bar -> Your Books
Author: SJM | Status: read | For: 2024
Shows 1 book
Click on book -> view journal entries
20 June 2024 Edit
Started reading
4 July 2024 Edit
Finished
And that is it, no other reads or re-reads, no other editions read,
Thank you
I love the way this feature has changed but I noticed that once you want to see it for a book that it was already generated for you only get one letter. The first time you generate it for a book itās completely fine.
Because the new bottom navigation sits just above the keypad's word suggestions on mobile, it's very easy to accidentally click away from a review page while trying to accept one of the word suggestions.
There should be an auto-save of in progress reviews, especially before moving to another page, since it's unlikely to be common for a user to want to discard a review they're currently working to write.
There should also be an optional check in with the user if they really want to navigate away from in progress work. Especially with reviews, but maybe with comments in challenges or something else that could be accidentally terminated by a misclick on a small screen. Enabled by default but something that can be opted out of from user settings if someone isn't keen.
Some of the books I added to my reading challenges don't come up when I filter books by "only show me books added to my reading challenge" on the explore page, regardless of how I sort them, and the exact same books also don't show up in my to-read pile when I check the same filter even though they are in my TBR. I tried it multiple ways; I double-checked that the book page said "added to reading challenge" when I clicked on the three dots and that I wasn't using other filters in my search to make sure the books weren't being filtered out by anything else.
Whenever I open the app I just get a loading circle and the page won't load, even after several minutes.
Before this happened the app was extremely laggy when using the search bar I could type the entire book title and it would take several minutes to load the options as it took ages to "accept" each letter i.e. The Spellbook, results for T, results for th, results for the, results for the s.
However, once I closed the messenger bubble it started to work again. Not sure if related or it finally loaded.
