When I mark the only book I'm currently reading as 'read', it doesn't show up on the community page. If I start reading another book first and then mark the other book as 'read', it does show up on the community page.

Any time I try to click "Browse Similar Books" on any book, the page will attempt to load, but only produces the error message "We're sorry, there was a problem. Please try again!" This happens specifically on Firefox on Windows 11. If I click "Browse Similar Books" on the app on iOS, it sends me to a blank screen with the rotating loading symbol, then kicks me back to the book's page. I've tried multiple books, and this happens no matter which book I am attempting it on.

I've been noticing some pretty strong search issues, where it will show a book when the title is partially complete, only to then have it completely disappear if you type the full word. I've provided two screenshots: I was looking for "The Spice Gate" and when I only had "the spice ga" it was the top of the list, but when I had "the spice gate" it wasn't there at all, I went down about 20 books and could not find it. This seems like the opposite of what should happen!

I created some custom charts breaking down book length by pages and was surprised to see audiobooks in those numbers. Can this be fixed?

If you are trying to search for something with a '#' in it, hitting Enter will remove the '#' from the search, as well as everything following it. However, the dropdown results include everything entered and the search works as expected if you manually click "View Results" instead of hitting Enter.

On the "Add buddy read comment" page, the floating navigation bar at the bottom of the screen overlaps the page content and hides the button to submit the form.

When I click on "read," for example, the list stops at the first 20 books I've read (same on to read and some others). I feel like the system wasn't doing this before.

TL;DR: Searching "the wizard the witch and the wild one" doesn't return any of the numerous Storygraph entries for the "Worlds Beyond Number" podcast, such as this one: https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/ea1bda75-4a60-44f5-9cf1-38513ab84d6d. This appears to be because you must search the entire exact title.

I've noticed that for a long time now the search seems to return some really strange results. In particular, I like to track a particular podcast, Worlds Beyond Number, in Storygraph. The entries are created with the title being the episode title, which is something like "The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One #1: The Open Door". Unfortunately, searching any part of that episode title never seems to return the podcast episode. In fact, if I search "the wizard the witch and the wild one", it returns no results whatsoever. The only way I've managed to get the podcast episodes is if I search only for their series name, "Worlds Beyond Number". That makes it difficult to check if another user has already created an entry for a new episode because they may have mistakenly not included the series. I've also been considering tracking these episodes in one of the combined "on-going" entries I've seen previously for this podcast, but I can't find all of them since they aren't all added to the "Worlds Beyond Number" series.

When seeing Personalised Similar books, can I see the editions I read or TBR'd by default? Is it also possible to exclude previously read books?

This is the silliest little thing but I run into it constantly when I'm trying to tag books. When I try to type in a number (e.g. 2024) to bring up a tag, I can successfully type the 2 and then the 0, but then the keyboard changes itself back to letters, so I consistently end up typing "20wr" instead of "2024". I end up having to delete it and then tap the "number keyboard" button after every individual character to type the whole number. I'm on a Pixel 8 Pro, Android 14. I've got a screenshot I can add if this is unclear but, hilariously, the "add attachment" function on noora doesn't seem to work on my phone haha.

The personalised similar books feature is confusing me. I have over half my recommendations showing genres I have specified in my preferences that I do not want to read. Or, and sometimes additionally many books ‘I have read another edition’ of and as irritating as that is it even shows books I have read. That very edition. I’m puzzled as to how this is personalised?

I'm trying to set up forums in a new Readalong right now. I create one, save, and I'm taken back to the main page as expected. However, when I tap on the "+ New Forum" button, I see the info from the previous one that I just set up, and I have to drag to refresh before the form clears. This is on the android app, if that makes a difference!

I read a lot of literary magazines and some of them are available on Storygraphy, specifically Clarkesworld and Uncanny. But searching "Clarkesworld Issue 211," for example, never turns up that issue. I usually have to scroll through all of the issues to find the one I'm looking for.

This is a little bit hard to explain but I've been seeing it a lot lately with the mass tagging that I've been doing.

1. In the filters on either the To Read list or on the Read list, tick off a bunch of tags in the "Exclude" filter and click the Filter button. In this example, I'm trying to exclude all books that already have any tag that starts with "original-language", but I was seeing this with much smaller groups of tags as well.
2. After clicking "Filter", you will see a list of results. In this case, it showed me I had 562 books left to tag.
3. I proceeded to tag 20 books. This meant I went through two different loading phases with the infinite scroll. I see a particular book as the next untagged book (in the screenshot, that book is The Little Disturbances of Man).
4. I scroll back up to the top and click "Filter" again. The total number in the filter goes down by 20 books, but the first book in the list is not the book I expect to see (in the screenshot it is Incarnadine instead, even though the sort on the list hasn't changed). There are a whole bunch of new books in the list first before that book reappears.

This is much less of a big deal when I'm working through 500+ books remaining, but it becomes a struggle when I get near the end of a tagging endeavor. I will think that I am done, because I get to what appears to be the bottom of the list. But then when I refresh the filter, just to make sure, there are often many books that just didn't appear when the infinite scroll loaded. I have to repeat this process many times in order to actually be completed with tagging. It seems like there might be something going wrong with the infinite scroll that it skips seemingly ten-ish books at a time when it is loading.

When I try to look at the books I've read for this year's challenge, it will only show me 10. When I try to look at prompts for the baseline challenge, it will only show me 10. When I try to look at prompts for the baseline diverse book challenge, it only shows me 10.

I own a physical book but read the audiobook version of it but when I go to my owned book stats the physical book shows up as unread.

Issue: on 3/20/24 I got a notification letting me know the book I tried to add via import was complete. I tried to add this book probably 3-5 months ago and am just now getting the notice after I've already manually added the book a while back, had it on my shelves, etc.

short term Rec: if there's no immediate match, or if it doesn't happen within a few days, maybe send a notification that's like "we couldn't find this book, but will keep searching and let you know if it gets added!" so it's less jarring.

long term rec: any way to track the history of books you've tried to import via ISBN / title would be great so it's easier to remember and see where they're at.

Issue: Running into an issue where the book will say "missing pub info" but then when expanded it has all of the information. This prevents it from displaying in order when sorting books by publication date.

Cause: In the book edit, the original publication date is set to 0, which seems to cause the issue as once I updated it, it loaded correctly and showed in the sorted results as expected.

Reco: only show "missing pub info" alert when the fields that display under it are incomplete for that edition. ISBN, format, language, publisher, date published.

I don't know if it's a me problem, but it always takes a long time to open the app (a problem that stands across devices), which often makes me change my mind on using it

I set up a custom chart with breakdowns of books by pages. It looks like the numbers are showing up in the graph right, but when I click on a section, it takes me to all the books. So, for example, I have a section set to over 550 pages and it says I've read 1 book, but when I click the section, it takes me to a list of all 61 books I've read in 2024, though it still has the name of the slice at the top of the page.

When setting up the comparison of TBR vs All Time, the All time switches to current year after clicking compare. All Time vs TBR works ok.

Adding hyperlinks feature is broken, after highlighting my text, clicking the hyperlink icon, and typing in my link i click on the 'Link' (next to 'Unlink') button, with no dice :( it just keeps flashing
