The number of reviews on a book’s page, and when you click on them to see the reviews do not match.
You can replicate this with the book: A Parade of Horribles by Matt Dinniman (2163 vs 866).

The one on the book page is really ratings and the one on the reviews page features only the reviews that at least have the questions answered or text.
