Switch Edition on book labeled to read

So i was attempting to switch from an audiobook format to the physical book format. However i am unable to switch edition to the version i own and have labeled as to read but i can switch to any other edition. In the picture I've attached you can see the hardback version i want to switch to on top with not switch edition option and the paperback on the bottom with a switch edition option. Very weird this is not an issue I've encountered before.

madsreadsbooks17 Which edition are you trying to switch from? Because from this screenshot the only edition that you have a status on is the hardcover one that you're trying to switch from. Is there a third edition involved?
Nadia Hi, so what i ended up doin to fix it sort of was i had to go into the hardcover and switch the edition labeled to read so i just switched to a random paperback. This allowed me to switch to the hardback. So i assume it had something to do with the book being labeled to read. I have included an updated screenshot showing i cannot switch editions to an edition marked to read
madsreadsbooks17 Yes, the two screenshots you've showed are expected behaviour. One edition has a to-read status, so it's one of your editions, and the other has no status at all, so it only makes sense, in both of the screenshots you've shared here, that you can switch from the top one to the bottom one. When you're just looking at the two editions in the screenshots, having a 'switch to this edition' button on the top 'to-read' one wouldn't make sense. That's why I asked if there is a third edition, not pictured, with a read status, and you were trying to move from that unseen 'read' edition to pictured 'to-read' one.
Also worth noting i have tried both on the webpage (where the screenshot is from) and on the ios app with the same result
