TBR Refreshing and Resetting Filters
H

When I’m interacting with my TBR in the app, if I click on a book and modify the edition or tags and then go back to my TBR, it’s refreshed and doesn’t save my filters or where I was in my scrolling on the list.
It would be super helpful if I could click on a book, change the edition of the book on my TBR, add tags, and then go back to my TBR list without it refreshing and removing all of my filters and scrolling all the way back up to the top. When I’m going through my TBR to update editions and add tags it takes so much longer than it needs to because it’s constantly refreshing and I have to re-filter and scroll to get back to where I left off.

So, I was working on this recently as it's been an issue for a while, and when trying to recreate it, it no longer happened, so it looked like via software upgrades it'd been fixed already. But I was only testing on an iPhone and haven't yet tested on an Android device. What device where you using? In any case, this is something we plan to fix in general in the app this year.
Nadia I’m using an iPhone running iOS 18.0 and the StoryGraph app is fully updated.
I just re-tested this in the app and filtered my TBR by a bunch of tags and such and then scrolled down a few pages to a book to interact with it and see how the app behaves. It seems to work fine if I go through and go to the series and then the author and then navigate back to my TBR it’s still filtered and scrolled down to where I was. It also seems to work if I click on a book and just change the tags and then navigate back to my TBR, even if the tags I changed impact if that books should be showing up in my filtered TBR list or not.
However, if I change which edition of the book is on my TBR (by selecting the book, clicking editions, and then clicking switch to this edition) and then navigate back until I get back to my TBR, I get a little loading circle superimposed over my list and then it refreshes and clears all my filters and puts me back at the top of my default TBR page.
This is particularly frustrating as I am primarily an audiobook reader pretty much everything I add to my TBR I have to switch the edition of, and I often quick add books to my TBR on the go and then go back later and update them all to the audiobook edition when I add tags to them.
happyjackiep Okay, yes, switching editions has always been a problem I think. I thought I'd testing switching editions in my latest look, but perhaps not. I've merged this into the related post and hope to address it this year.
