We hope you all love the new Recommendations section, where each person gets their own personalised StoryGraph "bookstore"!
We plan to add more categories over time. Which ones would you love to see?

The ability to exclude books with certain tags, with certain authors, or with ratings below a certain point from the recommendation engine would be useful.
I have a tag for books I disliked or missed the mark and I don't care to have more things recommended in that vein. Similarly, there are categories of books that I sometimes read, but I don't actively seek, such as poetry. And for authors, while I respect people's right to like certain authors and for our tastes to diverge, I don't care to see their work or similar authors included in my recommendations.

I’d be interested in a category based on our star ratings. I often find a big difference in my stats between what I read the most and what I actually rate the highest.
I’d like to be able to see recommendations based on all the books that have a specific custom tag I have created, or a group of tags.
I would like to see recommendations of books in a series, that I may have read some of and enjoyed. Either new installments or just continuing with the next book.
But it would probably be appropriate to also have some way to dissmis some of them as not interested, for various reasons, so it doesn't get filled up if I am really sure I have no interest in continuing certain series.
I would like to see recommendation based on the total amount of shelvings across all editions of the book.
In its current form, especially if I read in some small language, the edition recommendation doesn't really reflect popularity of the book and especially the unpopular book is often just the edition of a popular book in my language that I have added myself.

monkatx That's okay! (I think I will eventually fix that to be across the book family!)
I would love the opportunity to sort recommendations by format, if I'm in the mood for a physical book, ebook or audiobook and categorise them by length. Sometimes I'm in a short audiobook mood, others I want to work through a thick book.
I would like to be able to see recommendations by language. Not sure if that means being able to filter by language in the advanced search, or separate sections per-language, or something else.
Would love to have a page-range read option. For example, in a short story collection, if you read the a story in the middle, somehow track that. Pie in the sky I know!

I’d be curious to have a Recommended Rereads category. Maybe that’s things the engine says I read once annd would enjoy rereading, or maybe it’s something that I’ve read several times but it’s been a while. I’m not sure. Magic!
patlo I like your idea and bouncing off it, I think it would be cool if we could mark books as "comfort reads" and then be able to get recommendations for similar books. I have had so many friends, and myself, who fell into reading slumps in the past couple of years. I think this could be helpful to pull out of one.
