Users can start buddy reads with other StoryGraph users

Users will be able to start buddy reads (essentially mini one-off book clubs) with other users.
The ability for anybody to invite you to a buddy read will be opt-in, and you'll be able to toggle between friends, people you follow, or anybody inviting you.
We're still fleshing out what V1 will look like and we welcome any ideas for this!

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to comment this - any news on the timeline for being able to have more than five people total? And/or will something similar to this be a feature in the Book Club feature that is perhaps upcoming?
There's no plan at the moment to increase buddy reads from 5 people. Our research showed that most people do a buddy read with 2-4 people total, and so we thought we'd be generous and make it 5, so that even small book clubs could use it. For larger groups, we plan to focus on our book club feature!
Thanks! The buddy reads I'm currently taking part in take place are smaller subsets of a large online book club, so I eagerly look forward to the Book Club feature!
This will be coming just in time for me and a friend. We were planning on buddy reading together this month anyway, so I'm very excited to see what this will be like.
