“Contained Books” (for collections and split editions)

Hi! 👋 I’d love a feature that lets us link books that are part of a larger collection or split into multiple volumes.

Right now, StoryGraph shows “You’ve read another edition” if you read a different version of the same book - which is great!
But this doesn’t work well when:
• A single book is split into several parts across different editions.
→ Example: The Count of Monte Cristo is sometimes published in 3 separate volumes.
• Or when multiple short works are grouped into one collection.
→ Example: Lady Susan, The Watsons, Sanditon is often published together, but also exists as three separate books.

It would be amazing to have a “contained books” option, where you can:
• Link smaller books that make up a bigger one (or vice versa).
• Automatically mark a collection as “read” once all its parts are read.
• Automatically mark contained works as “read” if you finish the full collection.
• See something like “You’ve read this as part of a collection” when viewing a linked title.

This would make reading stats, challenges, and collections much more accurate - especially for classics, anthologies, and multi-volume works.

Thank you so much for considering it! 💛
