Could we have a button or box to check to keep a book from being counted towards the reading goals?

For example sometimes authors will put out a really short story about a character they have. I'm talking like 4 pages short. I like to mark them as read, but I don't want them to count toward my book goal.

(I don't mind them counting toward my page goal, but that might be too involved to have one but not the other.)
