Lack of sorting throughout much of storygraph is one reason why I still use GR in addition to SG - but it's most frustrating when looking at an author's list of works and when looking at reviews for a book (I'd love to sort reviews by stars like GR does!). But clicking into an author's name feels almost useless the way it displays currently - I want to sort by publication date, or title or popularity!

I came here to ask for this exact thing! I find when I go to an author's page I often want to sort either by popularity or by date released, but the order seems completely random and hard to sift through in a meaningful or helpful way.

Yess. The ability to sort this feature by popularity or published date would be so helpful. I also agree with the comment below mine, we need a way to see an author's primary works before any contributions or short story collections. While I love knowing an author I've read has also worked on various comic books and short story collections, I'm mostly looking for their standalone works, their primary series, etc.

+1 on this. I don't know how feasible this would ever be, but I'd love to be able to filter out collections where a particular author isn't the primary/only author. E.g. Looking at NK Jemisin's list of books, there are 118 listed, but I personally want to see her novel series and short story collection (where she is the only author) bubbled to the top, rather than interspersed among the many many short story collections and magazines that she has contributed to, which would give me a list of ~11 books to scroll through, ~20 if you include her comic series.

I would adore this! Especially with authors that have written a ton of books — it'd be so lovely to be able to quickly filter their books by popularity, date, or whether we've read them or not.

There's a lot we plan to do with author pages, including sort and filtering options! We know they're a mess right now. They haven't been updated since the very first version of the app!
