Hello! I've recently started tracking my textbook reading habits (to encourage myself to read the whole book rather than just read the assigned chapters) and I realized that it would be really helpful if I could track a range of pages I've read, rather than just log the number of pages I've read through. For example, sometimes in non-fiction readings, I'll read Chapter 8 before reading Chapter 2, so I'll skip from the last page in Chapter 1 to the first page of Chapter 8. I wish there was a way to track that I haven't yet read those skipped pages. I wouldn't want my 'pages read per day' graphs to include those skipped pages in their counts. Also, it would be nice to have some sort of reminder that I haven't yet read those pages from Chapters 2 through 7. Thank you!
You can do this manually for now! Essentially you'd make a progress update that was up to the point that you skipped to. Then you'd edit the auto-generated journal entry to change 'pages read in last sitting' to be 0 (that's what means you won't get an inaccurate data point in your pages chart), then you can continue tracking as normal going forward.
And I guess you could try and make this work reading out of order..but it'd be messy!
Nadia Oh that's really helpful! Thank you!
This would also be really helpful for those who read stories in short story collections out of order.
