I read a lot of children's books, manga and novellas. It would be great to have this distinction.

I think you can do this now if you are a plus user. With the new custom chart feature you can create pie charts with specific page division.

Nadia I totally missed this! Where do I find instructions?

devrose There are no separate instructions. Head to the stats page and toggle from "Standard" to "Custom". As you go through the screens it should be clear what to do!

And to be clear: this only came out a few days ago and hasn't been officially announced yet.

Agreed, I would love it if page length (and audiobook length) had different buckets for short stories vs shorter novels/novellas. I feel like there's a big difference between reading a 10 page short story and a 270 page book. Maybe aim for a split around 17,500 words, to match the Hugo novella/novelette split?

I would also love to have a differentiation for the 500+ pages (maybe 500-700, 700+?). There's no 'perfect' divisions for this, but I agree that breaking up the ranges would be nice

absinthe I would love to have 1000+ be the upper level!

I'd also love if 300 and 400 were split up... A 330 page book feels VERY different from a 480 page book!
