Add a “New” icon if new books have been added to a reading challenge category | Requests/Ideas

There are times when a reading challenge used to track sub genres for different genres (ex: Challenge: Horror, Categories: Classic, Haunted House, etc) can have a couple thousand books listed and a single book is added. But it’s SO hard to tell where it’s been added in the categories

Having “New” or “Book added” for categories you’ve already gone through would be amazing

Latest added is at the top though, so would it be just a visual indicator?

Nadia yeah, just “new” or “recently updated” before you click into it

Using my main challenge, it’s got 76 different categories and 1500 books currently added. Having a visual note of which category was added to would be amazing

I attached a screenshot - 3 books have been added since I last checked and it’s time consuming to go through all 76 categories

Edit: I’m adding a second screenshot of where it would be good to have it added

westernskynaida Gotcha! We already have an 'unread' indicator for buddy read and readalong messages so will probably use a similar style if I do this!

This would be especially helpful to challenge creators who want to keep their challenges tidy!
