Applying filters to any search results

I would like to be able to search for an author and filter the results by language and/or format. As of now, these filters can only be used to filter editions of a single book.
It would also be nice to be able to view all / selected books in a given language or books available in e-book or audiobook, without knowing an author.

@Nadia is there any update on a timeline for filtering for search results or author pages?
I would love for search results, series pages, and author pages to have the ability to filter by read/unread. That would help me immensely when I'm trying to figure out where I left off in a series or which books by a certain author I have yet to read.
When we improve the author pages, they'll definitely have filter menus!
We used to have the filter menu on the general search page but it didn't fit the most frequent use case of the search, which is most often to find a single book.
Perhaps when we have our advanced search functionality, we can incorporate them again.
