the search engine does not work super well at the moment. even if i type the title of the book i know exists , i still have to scroll down to find it among other titles who are not nearly as relevant.

I've made some tweaks to the search recently, so I think the results are better now. Right now, "Busy Spring" shows up first and "Starting Over" is now fifth.
Here's the issue: we used to have it so that exact matches would show up first no matter what happened, but then we'd have issues of people typing in part of a title or a similar title (as they're trying to recall from memory) and getting a whole load of books that exactly matched their input, but weren't the book they were looking for. So I've had to continually tweak and find the balance between exact matches and what people are likely searching for.
A couple of things to keep in mind: adding in one word from the author's name means the exact book you're looking for will very likely come up top and I'll also be adding a way to load results in a dropdown as you type. That should also help with finding the right book more quickly.
and again with ‘busy spring’. The book I wanted was seventh. Even trump showed up first for some reason.
it happened again now. I searched for ‘starting over’ and the book i was looking for was in the eighth place whereas the first option did not even have the same title just similar
Oh, that's unexpected as I did a fix a couple months back that ordered search by popularity/relevance combined with closest matches! Next time you have an example of a search that doesn't work so well, can you please pop them over to support@thestorygraph.com? Thank you, electraa! :-)
