Buddy reads: Make all comments visible when rereading

Whenever I’m buddy reading a book that I’ve read before, I can’t see comments past the point I’m in for my current read. I can see how that may be useful/motivating for some people, but it’s often been a bit of a bother for me. It would be nice if the default behaviour were different, or at least optional (e.g. if there were a [view comment] toggle).
One of my current buddy reads is for a book I’ve been both rereading and listening to on audio for the first time. I finished the audiobook first. When I did, all the comment threads for later points in the book were suddenly hidden again. So it turns out that the feature doesn’t even take into account whether I already finished reading the book during that buddy read itself.

Yeah, the feature merely looks at your current status and locks...but you will notice perhaps that the "Reveal" button is no longer there as we track 'read status' of a comment separately.
I might have to do a poll at some point on whether we just show all the comments again — which is no fun for people rereading at a later date, e.g. years late — or whether it's a config option.
Nadia Having the same trouble right now. At least a "reveal at your own peril" toggle would be nice. :)
What might also be helpful (though difficult to implement) would be a way to mark up to which chapter one has read so that one can read all the comments up to that chaper that might otherwise not be shown because of perrcentage rounding differences between editions. I guess if we're going with a toggle this could be an extra field that is always shown, alongside the percentage read, to indicate whether a comment is safe to reveal or not.
(Brought to you by me being unable to see the reply to comment I made on a thread marked at 12% read (or end of chapter 2 as OP stated) before rereading up to chapter 2, recording my place on TSG and only getting up to 11%.)
