StoryGraph swaps to the mobile layout very easily, leading to a massive search bar and no home/stats/reading challenges/community icons, which makes navigating clunkier.

When this happens, the search bar takes up more than enough room for the buttons.

All of this combined makes a vertical monitor experience look awkward and frustrating to navigate. Even on a horizontal monitor, it's easy for the site to take on the mobile appearance.

I've uploaded two pictures. One compares how only the slightest adjustment changes the entire look of StoryGraph on my horizontal monitor. The other is my friend's vertical monitor. She expressed her confusion on why her StoryGraph format is harder to navigate than what was advertised, leading to this request being made.
