Edition date in year only

When adding a new book manually, the system asks for a full edition publication date (year, month, day). Other sources never cite the full date, just the year, so I end up entering random months and days.
Request: allow entering edition date by year only.

barb_d rather than putting in a fake date I would recommend leaving it blank if you don’t know the exact date. If it’s blank it will be in a “queue” for a librarian to update but if you just put in a random date it will not go in that “queue” to be updated and will only ever get corrected if someone reports it as the wrong date.
