Emoji reactions to reviews

Would be cool if people could allow emoji reactions on their reviews, similar to buddy read reactions—maybe with a setting like “who can react to my reviews?” and options “friends, followers, no one, etc”

I go back and forth on having emoji reactions on reviews, as opposed to just the ability to like them, which will be the very least that we offer. If we offer the full suite of emoji reactions, then yes, there'll definitely have to be a setting. If I stick to just likes, then there won't need to be a setting. I'll probably do a community poll on it when I get to that stream of work.

susysstories There's no way to react and there's no notification for this (at the moment).
Nadia there is, you can like it when somebody starts or finishes reading a book. However, it’s useless as only the “liker” can see it. I would like to know when a friend likes my updates. Is this in the plans?

I tried searching the roadmap but it’s quite difficult to find what you seek…
susysstories I know you can 'like' news feed updates. I'm saying that the full suite emoji reactions, which is what I assumed you were asking, is not available. And while there are no notifications, you can see who liked your update by clicking on the number. The UX and UI will be improved on that soon and it'll be closer to the emoji reactions and popup modal on buddy reads and readalongs. It is the plans to like a review and that was meant to be delivered last year. It is on the roadmap! In fact it's on the main page. React is a maybe.
