Examples of themes, topics, tropes

When reviewing a book, I would find it exceptionally helpful to have a list of potential themes, topics, and tropes that might have been present. I want to help users find similar books, but my mind goes completely blank on what to put in this section. Having a list I could refer to or select from would help me get more descriptive and better contribute to the community!

We purposefully leave it blank so that we get the best range as possible! We never know what readers will put. We wouldn't want to accidentally restrict/limit what people put in there.

By the way, you can always leave it blank, and come back to that box at any time in the future, and your answer will still be helpful!

Still, your feedback is noted! :-)

(P.S. I sometimes struggle for themes!)

Yes, exactly @Abbie, although even more suggestions wouldn't hurt, haha. That's a good idea about the Journal feature, thanks!

Sort of similar to what we have above the free-text box in the recommendation survey? Honestly I do the same, I'll finish a book five seconds ago and then struggle to sum up the themes!

One thing I could suggest is making a note as you go using the Journal feature, so if a character was dealing with a mental health issue, you could just make a little note like 'mental health', or 'anxiety issues', and then refer to that before you fill out the themes list in the review. :-)
