I love the stats on Storygraph and (like many users) getting my end of year stats is super exciting!!

However, due to my reading habits, my stats always end up being quite skewed by books that I would prefer not to be taken into account. I read quite a lot of manga, but each book only takes around an hour to read, so they end up dominating my stats. For example, my most read authors are always manga authors as I might have read 8 books in one series, but in total I've only spent around 8 hours with that author, whilst a fantasy author who I've read a trilogy from could have taken me 30 hours, which is much more indicative to me that they were a favourite author in that year. If I could exclude or remove manga in some way, my stats would be much more interesting to me!

I'd love the ability to switch off certains books or genres to stop them appearing in my stats, sort of like how Spotify now allows you to 'exclude from your taste profile', creating a Spotify Wrapped at the end of the year that feels like it really reflects you.

This year, I am going to remove read dates for my manga to get around this issue, but I still want to track these dates so will have to keep a record of them somewhere else. Being able to do it all in Storygraph would be a dream!
