Filter out books I've read

When browsing, there's an option to filter out books from my to-read pile. But what would be even more useful is to filter out books I've already read (and that should automatically include ones where I've read another version/edition).

We automatically filter out books you've already read (and DNF'd) from the general browse menus! That includes different versions and editions too. If you're seeing books you've already read in those menus, they must not be in the correct book family and you can file a ticket ("Flag incorrect book information...") so that we can fix it. Let me know if you're seeing something different let me know. :-)

Nadia I came here to submit this same request, but specifically on the “Popular this week” browse view. There’s the “not in my To-Read pile” filter option, but no option to filter out books I’ve already read.
I don’t know if the book family is the issue here, because it’s correctly showing that I’ve read the book, my rating, and the edition I read.

In the photo attachment, I’d want to see the first book, which I haven’t read, and the second one which I DNF’d, but hide the third one, which I’ve already read.

bookcasey Hi! On any other sort option, read and DNF books are filtered out, but with Popular This Week we decided to show an accurate list of "outside of any books you've marked as 'never show me again', this is the definitive top 250 popular books on StoryGraph" at this time.

It also didn't make sense to add a "Don't show me Read Books" filter option in the filter menu, because they are filtered out by default in every other view.

Maybe we'll add a checkbox beside the sort menu for when "Popular this week" for the sole purpose of filtering out read books. Thanks for the feedback.
