When searching for similar users, my recommendations are pretty good when it comes to mood, pace, etc. However, sometimes I also look for users who read around the same average number of books as me. If I usually read about 20-30 books a year, it's nice to find other readers like that as well since following someone who reads a book a day can feel discouraging. And on the other side of that, if a user reads prolifically, they may want someone to match their pace so that they can discover new books more often. I'm not sure if this is already factored into similar user recommendations, but wanted to throw this out there!
