Forum notifications

I run a book club but when people add comments in the book clubs forums or readalong forums I don't get a notification. It would be really great to have an option to receive notifications perhaps with a follow forum toggle feature at the top of each forum? Or a notifications on/off toggle which members of the readalong or book club could choose to turn on or off also. I feel this would really improve participation in book club forums.

Adding my wish for more notifications. I left GR completely, for ethical reasons. I was a member of a great group there, though, and some of the members of that group have been more than happy to try out TSG with me. I created a book club here, which is getting some engagement from these friends, but I know we are all used to getting notifications of new posts, not just posts that are direct replies to our own posts, and some of us are better at manually checking for new posts than others are.
I really think that having the option for more notifications could help with getting folks like these, who have a community investment in GR, to feel more comfortable here on TSG and make the move.
I am also missing this notification. We only receive notifications of a new forum, but not when someone added a new comment inside that forum. Now we see that it's not used as much as we would like.
