Hide non-official book covers

Since fan-made book covers are apparently allowed, can a way to hide them be implemented? I hate looking at out-of-place covers that don’t fit the series or even the genre. (I requested some be removed from the October Daye series, but my ticket was marked resolved with nothing changed, so I guess it’s fine?)

I’d also like to hide the covers on short stories that are included in the back of books that people have added the book’s cover to, so it looks like the book is double listed when looking at the series as a list.

I can’t even create a new edition of the books in questions without the ugly fake covers being auto populated onto it. If this is going to be allowed, some way to opt out should be included as well.

mimicry If you add a cover image, then a random image shouldn't be added? Am I understanding you correctly? You can also file a book ticket so that covers are removed if the incorrect cover is attached.

Nadia The covers for several Seanan McGuire short stories do not have covers. A random fan took it upon themselves to make covers, added them to the titles here, now I’m stuck with their fan art being attached as if it is official.

A specific example is the cover on Chide the Waves by Seanan McGuire. That is a Patreon story and it doesn’t have a cover. I sent in a book ticket about the fake cover, and listed all the other titles in the series that had fake covers, asking for removal, but it was marked as taken care of but the covers are still up so I assumed that meant it was allowed.

I’m not talking about entries like Seanan McGuire’s Juice Like Wounds short, which technically has no cover, but it’s entry here is using art commissioned for the story by the publisher as it’s cover.

Idk if the person who made the covers did it to other authors, but they did it to Seanan McGuire’s October Daye series and InCrypid series, to most of the shorts that don’t have covers. I can send in a full list of the stories with fake covers if you like.

mimicry If the covers aren't the official ones then you can file a book ticket for them or email in to support@thestorygraph.com and we'll look into it.
