Import data from existing edition format when adding a new one

I would like it if there was a faster way to create pages for the same edition of a book in different formats (e.g. adding the e-book or audiobook versions to an existing paperbook edition).
If I'm not mistaken, the only way to do so now is to create a new page and copy everything manually.

There is a way to do this already! No need to copy!

If you add a book via the "Editions" page, we pre-fill most things for you!

In the last screenshot below, the title, author, and more are already filled out. We'll also take the cover image from another edition if you don't supply one.

Okay, the pictures did not load in the order that I selected them, but hopefully you can piece the journey together! :-D

Nadia thank you for your reply! I think I had to manually add a new edition when the ISBN wasn't found, but I may be mistaken...

mikebond Ahh, if you were going via the in-app notification for a non-found ISBN where you know an edition already exists in the app, it's better to find that edition and then go via the steps listed in the screenshot above. There are a couple reasons why don't automatically link you to the "add via existing edition page" — namely if someone has made a mistake and we get random books in a range of families — but hopefully in the future we can make that flow easier.
