Allow useres to create custom lists (i.e. "science fiction by women of color") that they can share publicly and/or privately (both across social media platforms and internally). The idea is taking from Podchaser's ability for users to create playlists of podcasts with explanatory notes about why they includes each item in the list. (Ex. https://www.podchaser.com/lists/audio-drama-podcasts-with-lgbtq-main-characters-107ZztL9Zk)

I personally think that lists and tags should be two different things. I tag books as what they are, but that doesn't mean I recommend them. I've attached how Lists work at our library. Users can create lists that can also be annotated. These lists are super fun to share on the website itself, and are easy to share across other social media platforms. This also allows people like influencers to have easily follow-able or save-able lists that other people can add to their own books.
thebookbin We'll definitely have better list-specific functionality!
Shipped at the beginning of this year!
That is fantastic.
Hello! You can create lists on The StoryGraph! You do so via adding a tag to a book. Then, on the tag's page, you can set the privacy level and add a title, e.g. "science fiction by women of color". If you make the tag public, anybody can view, sort, search, and filter the list, even if they do not have a StoryGraph account! Does that cover what you need?
How do I search for other users tags? I know I must be missing something. but the only searches I see are "Browse All Books" and "search by username" what am I missing?
Hello! There's no way to do that at the moment. We'll be working on a way to see user's public tags/lists, follow them, and then perhaps search for them later on this year!
