Lists for Awards

it would be awesome to be able to create/cultivate lists for yearly awards for literature.

Goodreads has their own nomination system which would also be really neat but I feel like it would be cool to have a way to look ag what was nominated for certain categories (or even won) so we can pick and choose the best of the best.

When it comes to these lists and pre-existing challenges it would be really awesome if there was a quick add option for the books to the “to read” pile.

Example: the nominees for the 2021 world fantasy awards were just released… So if I’m looking at the 2021 World Fantasy Awards, I can see the nominees, categories, and eventual winners. & add them to my “to-read” pile from that list.

Also adding this feature to challenges with specific books would be really great.

This feature would also allow challenges that refer to certain categories to be cultivated from lists that pertain to that category. Not all books are obvious based on genre/author/etc. so if I want to do a Buzzfeed challenge that asks me to read a book based on circuses, having a list that has a bunch of books pertaining to circuses that I can quickly add to my tbr shelf would be really great!

I would love this too. The ability to create curated lists in general would be awesome for more than just awards - for example, putting together lists of books that address specific themes or are Own Voices stories that can be shared with the community or with specific users.

I can do this to some extent with challenges or with tags, but it's a clunky experience and (for challenges) it's starting to stray quite a bit from the intended use of the feature.

This would be AMAZING! I don't always catch when the lists of nominees come out, and when they do I'm always keeping the tab up until I have time to check out all the books and add them to my TBR list.
