Currently on StoryGraph, in the genre section, we have sorted out Childrens, Middle-Grade and Young Adult books, which seems odd to me given those are more of target demographics rather than genres, as Science-Fiction, Horror or Romance are.

It would be nice to have either:

1 — A more simple change

Remove those categories from "Genre" and give them their own separate pie/bar chart under "Target Demographic" (or a similar name);

Or 2 — A more complex change

Add it as a community voted category. Similar to mood, pacing and narrative focus (plot, character, mix), let the readers weigh in on what they believe is the target demographic for the book, with the previously mentioned categories of "Childrens", "Middle-Grade" and "Young Adult", as well as a 4th, new, "Adult" one.
