Make large buddy reads easier to navigate

I'm participating in a buddy read with 5 people and our comment section is quickly filling up and as it's taking longer and longer to scroll through I thought something like what's in my attached pic would be a good idea to make it easier to see everything! Maybe like unread/new comments can be maximized and when you've read it the next time you come back to the app they're minimized and only new comments are maximized and then you have the option to maximize previous comments?

Now I'm going to increase the buddy read limit to 15, since larger buddy reads are a lot easier to navigate!
Nadia Now with Book Clubs making it possible to read with Even More people, there is again a lot of scrolling involved on mobile. I would love it if I could collapse the user list and/or have a button to "Jump to Newest Comments" :)
bearpolar Good point. What's the maximum you've had in a book club buddy read so far? We explicitly say that we don't recommend for more than 15 people, partly because we know the feature hasn't been built for groups much larger than that.

I'm not necessarily doing collapsible comment sections as suggested in this post, but I've grouped a few posts together where the main pain point is: "buddy reads with a lot of comments are hard to navigate/take ages to scroll through" and the plan with this card is to solve that and improve the loading speeds of these buddy reads also!
Looking forward to this! Finding which comments have been replied to without constantly scrolling or going back to notifications would be awesome.

Yes, this is one of my priorities over the next few months. I have a todo item titled: "Navigating a large buddy reads requires less scrolling" and I was imagining collapsible sections. :-D
