No Communication during Plus Trial

When I did my month-long trial period for the Plus plan, I didn't receive any type of communication from the app? No confirmation email about the trial, no email notifying me of what features I was able to try during the trial, nothing. The only time I received something was the email notifying me that my trial had ended.

I actually didn't get the email after my trial ended and thought that was odd.
When did your trial end and how long after your trial ending did your subscribe? You might have finished your trial before we started sending the emails (which was some time in the latter part of last year) or you might have subscribed before we send out the batch email. There's a little bit of a lag and we don't send the email to people who have already converted during that time.
I can see that I subscribed on March 17th, but I'm not sure on what day my trial ended or on what day I started my trial. There's nothing in my email to help me figure this out and I don't see a way in StoryGraph to see either. But it definitely ended at some point in March of this year. I had just one day noticed I didn't have Plus next time to my name anymore and went to the subscription page to start my subscription.
Looks like you subscribed before the email for your batch goes out. Right now it goes out some time in the afternoon (US)/evening (UK) for anyone who's free expired the day before and they haven't yet subscribed. Anyway — all of this setup is going to evolve and improve over time, just like everything in the product!
This is partly intentional (no email at the beginning of the trial) and partly something we haven't prioritised yet (more comms during the trial), but plan to.
In general, we try and minimise emails at StoryGraph. We have the flash notification when the trial starts saying: "You've successfully activated your 30-day free trial...", but I've also recently discovered we had some bugs around flash notifications not always showing correctly on some platforms, so perhaps you didn't see that?
There's lots more we plan to do with the Plus plan marketing and comms, including emails during the trial showcasing different features and a better marketing page for the plan, which visually shows the features, makes it more obvious within the app what you get now you're on a free trial etc., but to do things like that require some more thinking, time, and customer research, so for now, so we have something at least, we send the group email after the trial has ended.
That makes sense. It's (obviously) been some time since I started the free trial, so I can't say with absolute certainty that I saw the flash notification. I'm fairly sure I did though. I started the trial using the site in Chrome on my laptop, if that helps with debugging.
