Opting Out of Reading Time/Page Tracking

While I am very happy for those who do track pages to have the features they do, as someone who doesn't like tracking how long it takes me to read a book I do wish I could opt out of a few things.

  1. When I read a book, I don't mark "currently read" I just like being able to go straight to "read". However, if I'm doing a reread last I check (through a quick Google search) I have to mark "currently reading" and then "read" to log a reread. So I wish there was just one button for that.
  2. I don't like not being able to opt out of the part that tells me how long it takes me to read a book. Because I only do either 1 or just click "read" it shows my time as 1 day, but I know that's not accurate, so I feel a bit bad sharing things that show that Stat since it makes me look like a faster reader than I am.
  3. While this is much less my biggest care of the 3, this does male my monthly graphics not as good since all my pages are logged over a single day. If there was a non tracking format it could maybe just be a line graph that slopes up on the logged days.

I guess long story short I wish there was a format of the app for people who don't track pages that you could opt into to be able to more easily log books and better graphics.

  1. You can add rereads without doing the whole 'currently reading' thing: No 2 here: https://thestorygraph.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/79000141973-tracking-rereads-on-the-storygraph

2/3: Once you can customise the stats page, these will disappear!

Nadia thank you for the swift response. Are you ever looking at adding a reread option to the main book drop down? While I appreciate the second option on how to mark reread, it's still more steps than when I'm originally marking a book read.
