I would love a better way of seeing info for books I have read more than once. For example, currently it shows "you have read this book 2 times" and automatically shows the most recent read dates in the edit dates part.
It would be nice if it had a line under "you have read this book 2" saying the date finished and rating for each separate read. With an easier button to take straight to the journal view.
This would be nice as I have reread books and more often than not, ratings change over time. I dont want my original rating to be changed.
I think this should also change the review format to show original rating and review text, with a line and a section below with the new rating and any additional review text to add.
I hope I have explained everything clearly enough, thank you.
Yes, so when you have read a book more than once it has an "activity" section with just "you have read this book 3 times". It would be nice to have the different read dates underneath here rather than having to go into the read history to see. Because the "finished ..." Only has the most recent read dates on it. In terms of separate ratings, I imagine it being more of a history/log feature if that makes sense? So instead of a rating being absolute, you could see the history of a rating that could be logged on each reread. So the rating of the book overall changes (no different to how it works now) but in the activity or journal log you can see the date you changed the rating and what it was originally
gialuna2 Got it! I like the rating history idea! So reviews would have past versions, rather!
Nadia I just reread a book where I looked at my past rating and thought I was SO WRONG and changed my rating upward. I'd love to be able to preserve my first reading experience while also marking my second! (I imagine I'll have plenty of rereads where I loved something the first time, grew up a bit, and then caught all the things I didn't see in the book that are problematic the first time....)
Hello! Yes, you're clear. You know about the "View/edit read history" page but you want more detail on the book page directly, correct? Whether we allow separate ratings per read is a separate feature though and not one I'm sure we're going to offer.
