I came to request this as well. I tag books as "to buy" and when I go into a used bookstore, look for them from my list. Of course, the stores are arranged alphabetical by last name. So it takes extra long to go back and forth to the sections to see if they have any of the books on my list. Would love this option!

I think so, yes. Searching by family name only is probably more intuitive to most readers than scrolling through authors listed alphabetically by their given names.

Hehe, we knew this might be an issue. It's because we don't have the concept of 'last name' in our database at the moment.
What would y'all expect: A last name search only instead of the current offering?

YES PLEASE! Trying to look for an author yesterday was the first time I discovered TSG's rather idiosyncratic approach to author sorting. :)
