I know there has been a big conversation about author stats to track diversity and there is a lot of nuance to that conversation. I think we could talk about the representation in the actual book without putting authors in a bad position. I would love to see what types of representation are included in a book through user-generated tags similar to the current content warning tags. Example(anxiety rep, sapphic rep, trans rep etc.). This would allow the users to call out the representation they feel was included in the book without adding the author to the conversation. I think this would prevent a situation with an author feeling pressure to come out while still allowing a conversation about trans characters
