Romance Rating System

I feel that it would be valuable to have the ability to rate and see a rating for how big of a component romance is of a book and if there is any sexually explicit content included.
This would allow both adult romance readers to see books that may appeal to them, as well allowing young readers, romance/sex repulsed readers, and those simply not looking to read heavy romance in that moment to make a clear informed decision without doing extensive research that often does not answer the question of how big of a component romance is to the story.

Kinda similar to this since I'm primarily interested in it for romance titles, but It'd work for other genres too... I'd love community sourced data on tropes/relationship dynamics/character archetypes etc. that a book contains in the same way that content warnings are added! I currently use custom tags for this information, but that means I can also sort and filter books I've already read by the tags I've added, it'd be nice to be able to filter my TBR by tropes I'm in the mood for!
like something similar to the "how was the pace of this book" multiple choice at the end when you're reviewing the book? because I would also love something like that, as someone who doesn't really like to read romances
Is this different to a spice/steam rating? We have content warnings to highlight sexually explicit content.
Nadia yes this would be different as it would be more of a sliding scale of how much romance is in a book/how big of a component it is to the story as that's not covered in the content warning and needs more than a yes or no way of showing how much romance is in a story. And it could include a check box for steam to just make it more upfront then going through the content warnings as many people wouldn't necessarily log a content warning on a "happy" romance book, but this is less important as it is covered by the content warnings rn.
bookflix Got it. Thanks.
