Perhaps this is too similar to the search by tags request, but I think what I’m looking for is different…

I’d like to be able to search by topic, theme, or trope. I’m talking about the 4-5 suggested key terms in the review page, not the tags on the book page. I know I can edit my preferences profile to include things I am interested in, but sometimes I want to see books based on just one specific preference without having to change my whole profile. Browsing similar books to a book I’ve read sometimes helps, but the results don’t always zero in on the aspect of the book that I’m looking to replicate.

Also, as a teacher, sometimes I’m trying to make a list of books based on a specific theme or attribute, and I’d love to be able to start that search here on Storygraph rather than starting from Goodreads, BookRiot, etc. and then looking up each book individually here to check reviews and content warnings.

Tags might accomplish this if some of them are derived from the suggested terms section of the reviews, but I know that I personally don’t use the tags feature much to categorize what I read. I DO usually submit topics/themes when I review. However, if tags are the right way to go about this, then I would maybe start using them.
