Searchable public book tags

I often create trope tags for books I read or want to read, to make browsing the list easier, e.g. "magic school" or "necromancy" or "happy ending" or, I don't know, "swan shifters". I'm sure I'm not the only one and it would be great to look for books with similar tags.

I would love to be be able to search all the tags on SG, not just created by yourself, and pick your next book from them.

Or, if not that, to see a tag system where (optionally, so to avoid spoilers) each book page would also display a number of most used tags for the book (I guess, similar to the trigger warnings).

I would love having tropes/settings/ect added to the review section similar to how they have the trigger warnings and this would help prevent the issue that GRs has with their tag list where if someone adds a space it is classified as a different tag and clutter up that section or prevent staff from constantly having to merge. Also would allow authors to put their own if they claim the book/page.

They could even have a second one just for spoilery type ones like the main character becomes a royal halfway through ect.

You also could always make a thread in the Feedback just for requesting new tags. Delete the posts once they have been added or comment under one that it won't be added for whatever reason. People upvote/heart the ones that they want added to the catalog.

I know of a website that does tag for tropes/settings/themes/ects if you want the link for reference.

I love the idea of searching for public tags! Might need to add tag-wrangling to librarian duties though, so that "swan shifters" and "shifts into swan" can be grouped together while "swan curse" is not. Problems might come up if someone removes their tag/list from public view, but I'm still into this idea as a user.
