I think it would be super cool to let people choose if they want to show covers or stick with the old format—the layout of the progress bars was really useful for me, and covers are much less so

I would LOVE this. I would rather see the covers of the books I'm reading than the titles or authors. It's much easier for me to grasp those photos rather than the text.

I would love this feature! I'm a very visual person, and I'd love to see the cover(s) of what I'm reading on my home screen.

We don't in our current design because they didn't fit with the progress trackers — and we were worried about cover overload on the homepage — but I guess we could at least show thumbnail images beside the title and author list.
