Show the edition marked by a user as the default one

In the search result, on author pages and on series pages it would be nice to see the edition you have marked as read/to-read by default, instead of seeing the 'You have read another edition of this book' link everywhere.
This would be nice for read books even more so than for to-read books, because then you can see your review right away.
For example (see picture): When I'm on a series page and want to get a quick overview of how I've liked each book then I often get this view.

Other users' profile pages are TBD.
Right now I find myself accidentally adding other editions of the same book (for my TBR) because it doesn’t show I already have it added right way (It’s that banner at the top of the item page). It would be helpful to show “to-read” on a book that we added another edition of already, to stop us from accidentally adding another version of the same book.
Hmm, good point! I'm not sure how feasible this would be since we have the default edition showing, but Nadia can work magic with code, so perhaps it would be possible!
For now I've found a way around it by going to my read list > searching for the series > ordering by publication date. So I can still get the information I want. I would just be a "nice to have" to make this easier.
