Suggest friends for buddy read

When I start a buddy read, I feel like the most helpful suggested users would be from my friend list. The two other types, ML powered recommendations and community members with it on their radar, aren't as interesting to me and feel like they could be collapsed into a single column. I recognize that everyone will have their preferences, but if you were to just add a third column of friends that would be great.

This would be super helpful. It'd also be helpful if the invite search prioritized friends and indicated who you're friends with. It's a bit nervewracking when I'm trying to find a friend to invite now but don't know their exact username. I always forget and have to go to a past buddy read or my friends tab specifically to confirm I have the username exactly right because there's no distinction or indication of friend status in the results.

FYI, If you have any friends who have that book on their shelf (Up Next, TBR, currently reading), they come up first before anybody else!

So then we prioritise showing up someone else in the community who is planning on reading this book soon (in their Up Next queue) or wants to read it — and so will be more likely to join in on a buddy read of it — instead of random friends who might have no interest.

One thing that we want to do at some point though is make it so that your friends come up first when you click into the dropdown.

We've got a lot of changes/improvements coming to how you can create and invite people to buddy reads, but wanted to let you know that we do currently prioritise friends, it just may not be obvious!

Thanks for the response! Maybe my friend didn't have the book on their shelf at the time, but I agree that at least having the friends show up first in the dropdown would be a great idea.
